Occupational Safety & Health Specialist · Consultant
Making sure people go home safe — every single day.
I'm Francisco Higuera — a bilingual safety professional based in San Diego, California. I started as a maritime machinist at a local aerospace facility, building a hands-on understanding of industrial hazards that now drives every program I design. From radiation safety and ergonomics to ISO 45001 auditing and OSHA-authorized training, my mission is the same: protect people, build culture, and do it right.
A decade of protecting people — built on science, led by principle.
Francisco Higuera is a bilingual Occupational Safety and Health Specialist based in the San Diego–Tijuana region. He currently serves as a safety specialist at a local aerospace manufacturer facility, managing critical programs in radiation safety, ergonomics, fall protection, lockout/tagout, and confined space entry — and performing the duties of ISO 45001 lead auditor. Before moving into safety management, Francisco worked as a maritime machinist, giving him a hands-on industrial foundation that informs every safety program he builds.
Francisco holds the OHST certification from BCSP and is actively pursuing the ASP and CSP — the gold standard credentials in the safety profession. He is also completing a Bachelor's in Human Systems Engineering at Arizona State University, blending psychology, engineering, and human factors into a systems-level approach to preventing workplace injury before it happens.
His work ethic is defined by integrity, long-term thinking, and genuine respect for people. Known for clear communication and the ability to simplify the complex, he builds trust by being honest and consistently committed to doing the right thing — whether on a jobsite, in a training room, or behind an audit report.
Francisco is also the licensed owner of Quality Pacific Painting, a high-end residential painting company serving La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe, Coronado, and San Diego County's finest homes — where the same precision and client-first standards apply.
